Johnson.. I know this is a late reply, but you should try contacting the Buy.com rep on Twitter: http://twitter.com/buy_com. They were very helpful in resolving the issue this customer had with their delivery. Maybe they can help you - or help others in the future.

This exact same thing happened to me. I ordered a 1TB Fantom drive to be delivered before Christmas. The package never came. I went to Fedex's website and it said the package was "left at the front door. no signature required." I filed a claim with buy.com and they promptly denied it just like your case.

What frustrate me are 2 things:

1) Fedex's page claims the driver delivered the package at 8:30 in the morning. But I was *at home* at that time, and they didn't knock on the door or anything to inform me the package has arrived.

2) In the Buy.com ordering process via paypal, there was not a single place that allowed me to require a signature upon delivery. (I just checked) If I was given this option, I would have taken the service.

I am still currently on hold on Buy.com's customer service phone number as we speak. BTW I had to dig around the web to find buy.com's number 1-800-800-0800 (they hide it from their website). Will report back what happens next.

Good luck
